Two Entrepreneurs, I have to give credit to for where I am today.

Jordan Moore

I met Jordan when we were both stationed in Pensacola, Florida attached to the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Team, The Blue Angels. He was the first “newbie” for our group and therefore he was the one responsible for all of us. My first year I was a Crew Chief and Jordan was in Life Support. My second year, I moved over into the Life Support shop and Jordan was our Lead. Continue reading “Two Entrepreneurs I have to give credit to for where I am today”

Stopping my Dogs Seizures with CBD Oil

My dog Lily had been with me through some of the best, and worst, times of my life.  I got her from a shelter in Pensacola, Florida in November of 2007.

I walked through the shelter and she was the only dog that sat there just looking at me. She didn’t bark. Her ears were back and she had this look of “please get me out of here”. Continue reading “Stopping my Dogs Seizures with CBD Oil”

We Got To Meet Garet Hunt From The Jacksonville Icemen!

We FINALLY got a hockey team back in Jacksonville!

The Jacksonville Icemen began their inaugural hockey season in 2017.

As soon as we heard about having a hockey team, I asked Charlyn if she wanted to go.  She IMMEDIATELY said yes!  I looked on VETTIX and got four tickets for us.  23 seconds into the first game we attended a fight broke out.  We were all instantly hooked.

Since then we have been to several games and even watched them through ECHL TV when we could make it out to the arena.

We attended the game last night against the Orlando Solar Bears (which I must admit is a pretty cool name) and it was the first night of military appreciation night.  The first 3000 fans got a free Icemen souvenir hockey puck. Our youngest son got a practice puck tossed over the glass to him from J. J. Piccinich (No. 14) from the Solar Bears.

After the game, military families were invited down to the ice to try their hand at shooting a puck.

It’s amazing how something so simple can mean so much to so many.  For that, I want to say Thank You!

When we were waiting in line to go out to the ice, one of our boys noticed a guy in a suit that “looked kinda like Hunt” standing near us. Well, the reason it “kinda” looked like him is that it WAS him.  Garet Hunt (No. 24) came over and spoke with some of the families standing there.  He took photos with us and thanked us for our service.  It was really exciting for all of us to meet one of our favorite players and get our picture taken with him.

We can’t wait to get to the next game!

If you are a military member or veteran and haven’t signed up for VETTIX, you should.  It’s a great way to get tickets to events all over for a highly discounted price, and it’s only for veterans and active duty. Click here to sign up. It’s FREE!
